- Subject matter expertise for the SailPoint technologies and processes which deliver the Bank’s core Identity and Access Management service.
- Day-to-day support, maintenance and development for the Identity Governance and Assurance technology platforms with a key focus on Sailpoint Technologies.
- Technical leadership, proactively driving the on-going development and strategy of Identity and Access Management to achieve the outcomes required.
- Understanding the Identity and Access Management security requirements of the Bank’s major programmes of work and ensuring they can be delivered
- Input into designs and supporting documentation when required for Identity and Access Management solutions.
- Providing advice for IAM technology and input into technical and business process strategy.
- Ensuring IAM systems and processes are operating effectively and efficiently
- Delivering continual improvements to the IAM service which includes supporting the Banks Cyber investment Programme
- Specialist guidance for IAM solutions, in partnership with Technology Architects, Engineers and System Owners.
- Understanding of the wider cyber security control set, the key threats facing the Bank and how that relates to the on-going development of the Identity and Access Management controls.
- Engaging with leaders across technology, communicating key messages to support the ongoing development of IAM solutions.
- Building effective networks within Cyber and Technology at a working level across the different Technology domains.
- Challenging upwards, delivering tough messages when required to drive the right outcomes.
- Several years’ experience in Sailpoint Technologies
- Good enterprise Identity and Access Management experience and knowledge and how an effective IAM function supports the management of business risk
- Good understanding of the key processes that make an IAM service (e.g. Access recertifications)
- Good interpersonal skills and experience of developing effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, including articulating IAM processes to business representatives and presenting to governance forums
- Ability to coordinate IAM partners and internal Bank teams on IAM initiatives
- Experience in producing detailed designs.
- Experience in producing technology roadmaps.
- Good general knowledge of IT and technology solutions
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Self-managing, self-motivated
- Solid understanding of security standards and relevant legislation
- You will likely hold certifications in SailPoint and wider industry wide
- Experience of deploying Identity and Access Management capabilities into hybrid, cloud and multicloud environments
- Able to demonstrate knowledge in the following, Privileged Access Secrets Management (CyberArk), Directories (Active Directory, AzureAD), Authentication (including Strong Authentication and Single sign-on), Federation services and protocols (SAML, OpenID) and PKI services.
- Ability to take complex analysis and to present it in a concise and clear manner, appropriately tailored to people from a very wide range of cultures, technical backgrounds and seniorities

Within Cyber Security you will be working with people who are passionate about making the organisation the world leading central bank in countering the evolving cyber security threat. Brief Posting Description
The Cyber Security division supports Technology and the wider Bank in achieving its cyber security objectives and is made up of a number of domains with responsibility for operating and improving the Bank’s cyber security controls. This role is part of the Cyber Security Identity and Access domain who are responsible for supporting all elements of the Banks core Identity and Access Management technologies and processes. This covers a broad range of Identity and Access management controls, including Identity Lifecycle management, Privileged Access Management, Identity and Access Governance and Authentication services.
As a Senior Identity and Access Management Sailpoint Engineer, you will be a technical SME for the technologies that make up the Bank’s network Identity and Access controls, taking ownership for the on-going development and evolution of those controls. Reporting into the Head of Identity and Access Engineering you will be responsible for operating and improving a range of Identity and Access controls realised through the Bank’s investment in SailPoint technology.

Salary and Benefits Information
This specific role offers a base salary of circa £52, 970 - £67,140 per annum (depending on skills and experience) on a full-time basis. We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.
In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
• A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
• A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
• A 7% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits. (Note that from April 2023 and for the Benefits year 2023/24, this will increase to 8%)
• 26 days’ annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
• Private medical insurance and income protection.National Security Vetting Process
