Position Summary

The Clinical Director for the State of IL, assists the Executive Directors, Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Supervisors to promote the NYAP mission, visions, and values while providing case consultation and clinical support to psychiatry services and therapeutic teams across statewide programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Clinical Director will perform duties including, but not limited to:

• Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies.
• Advocate on behalf of youth and youth services systems in individual and system advocacy. Promote and assist the Executive Directors in developing innovative treatment programs and treatment foster care service delivery systems to better serve the youth and families.
• Promote and assist the Executive Director in developing quality training programs related to the professional growth and development of the agency.
• Build collaborative partnerships with treatment foster care, and clinical teams that promotes best practices or interventions and strategies for clinical practice founded in evidence-based research and practice.
• Provide case consultation and clinical support to the psychiatry services and treatment teams.
• Assist in the submission of grant request proposals for current and new programs.
• Provide case consultation and clinical support to the treatment teams.
• Provide and Analyze clinical supervision and professional development processes for opportunities to increase efficiency and consistency across the state.
• Present workshops at conferences on NYAP relevant treatment services.
• Assist in enhancing the clinical treatment delivery of the services for youth throughout NYAP.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counselling, or related behavioral/human services.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in behavioral since, split between treatment services, training, and supervisory services.
• Valid Independent license (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT)
• Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
