Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Greets and assists patients and visitors, and records patient and imaging information files, and retrieves papers and films by alphabetic and numeric sequence, assists technologists in performing imaging procedures, transports patients to and from the department.
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education & Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Work Orientation & Experience:
At least one year of customer service experience preferred. Experience in healthcare and medical terminology preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work calmly in a busy Imaging Department environment; Visual and hearing abilities sufficient to receive, understand, and act upon clerical and technical instructions given in person, over the telephone, computer screens, and in writing; Ability to respond politely to anxious patient and family members, rapidly changing work priorities from technologists, supervisors, and physicians; Ability to communicate effectively; Strong customer service and patient care skills; Ability to navigate a computer system; Effectively function as a member of a collaborative team
