Job Description

- Clinical assessment of patients for vaccination, review medical history and potential adverse reactions.
- Provide an immunisation service to our registered patients in the surgery, in the patients own home and within residential and nursing homes.
- Provide immunisations to both children and adults in line with the national childhood and adult programmes, to include seasonal campaigns.
- Provide supervision and support to HCAs as required on-site.
- Work within National guidelines , written instructions and Patient Group Directives
- The post will include lone working, and you will be required to travel to various locations.
- Document all patient contacts as appropriate on our clinical system.
- 25 to 30 days annual leave entitlement in addition to bank holidays, depending on service (pro rata for part-time staff).

Job summary
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to provide a vaccination service to our patients within the surgery, at home and in residential settings. This is a part time role working 24 hours. You will work as part of our nursing team, in and around Hereford, and there is some flexibility around the hours you may choose to work, weekdays and weekends. Ideally you will have worked in a primary care setting, in a similar role, and have past experience of vaccinating patients, providing advice and guidance on vaccinating. You will need to have your own car, to provide a community service, and will be remunerated for the use of your car. You will work to national guidelines and follow our Patient Group Directives and working with our Immunisation Co-coordinators.
