      As a Barclays Incident Manager, you will be joining Barclays Execution Shared Services team within Corporate Digital Banking area. In your new role you will work within a centralised Environment management function. We offer Programmes and services such as Incident Management, Release management. You will be instrumental in implementing the Infrastructure Delivery management and Vulnerability Management. We have engineers in the team to support these services and our automation and strategic initiatives.

      We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances.       What will you be doing?
      • Improving processes and ensure best practices are up to date
      • Break Fix infrastructure support
      • Preserving and enhancing the knowledge base of Environment support activities by appropriate documentations
      • Ensuring no single point of failures in the team and there is continuity in providing the required services for the customers
      • Supporting Infrastructure and non-Production environments
      • Overseeing day-to-day Support activities and prioritising workload
      • Escalating as required
      • Reporting as required


      What we’re looking for:
      • Experience in technical support and problem solving
      • Exposure to service and application support
      • Excellent written & oral communication
      • Proven Incident, Change and Problem Management experience


      Skills that will help you in the role:
      • Knowledge of middleware infrastructure, processing & IIB/WMB/MQ based applications
      • Solid Unix/Oracle based Live service/ application support experience
      • Solid knowledge of the payment’s domain
      • Working understanding of Linux, Veritas Clustering (VCS), IBM MQ, Connect direct and Oracle
