      What you'll do

      • Lead the software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, design patterns, disaster recovery, and tech stacks.
      • Contribute to product development, understanding and defining non-functional requirements, and detailed design.
      • Manage stakeholder relationships and collaborate with program, product, and business teams for product development launches.
      • Show advanced coding skills and demonstrate knowledge of various coding languages and frameworks.
      • Display proficiency in test case preparation, devising test strategies, identifying test types, and using test tools.
      • Understand and manage the defect life-cycle process, use defect tracking tools and methodologies, and report defects.
      • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause corrective action (RCCA) when issues arise.
      • Exhibit a DevOps orientation, with knowledge of various operating systems, software maintenance tools, and techniques.
      • Show proficiency in Front-End Technologies Kotlin, SWIFT C, Back-End Development JAVA, and Graph QL.
      • Understand the management of database systems and the differences and use-cases for SQL and NoSQL databases.
      • Demonstrate proficiency in cloud platforms like Google Cloud or Azure. Have experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
      • Display strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication abilities.
      • Showcase strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
      • Understand secure coding practices and have experience with tools for identifying security vulnerabilities.
      • Familiarize yourself with data protection regulations and standards.
      • Have experience in project planning, scheduling, tracking, and resource allocation.
      • Contribute to current technology trends, DevOps & CI/CD Principles, and software development.
      • Have experience with Open stack technologies, cloud technologies, Front-end & Back-end Technologies, and Microservices Architecture.
      • Show proficiency in risk and cost analysis, understanding business objectives and requirements.
      • Be familiar with functional and non-functional requirements, and scoping and estimation techniques.
      • Manage production Software with 99.999 SLA Performance, Availability.
      • The role required to build and manage this would typically be a Content Moderator Engine and Eco System

      We are looking for a seasoned software engineering leader with proven skills in delivering large scale distributed systems, cloud native systems, with a track record of making business impact. The leader will play the Senior Director of Engineering role in Customer Experience team along with User Generated Content systems, Content Management System (CMS) in IDC.

      The role includes spearheading an organization of Directors, senior managers, Distinguish and Principal Engineers leading teams of software engineers developing highly scalable and cutting-edge systems and solutions in a highly agile setup, with high quality standards and operational excellence, mentoring and actively shaping the organizational strategies and providing thought leadership.

      What you'll bring:

      • Bachelor’s / Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science Engineering
      • At least 21+yrs years of professional experience in roles focused on adding value through building Software solutions and products for complex, cross functional business problems
      • Experience in constructing a product that includes moderation engines for all data provided by customers, such as ratings, images, reviews, videos, and seller responses.
      • Proven experience as a Sr Director of Software Engineering or similar leadership role.
      • Proficiency in cloud technologies, front-end & back-end technologies. - Knowledge of current technology trends, DevOps & CI/CD Principles, and Microservices Architecture.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues. - Familiarity with secure coding practices and data protection regulations and standards. - Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills. - Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns, with the ability to design and optimize for scalability and resilience.
      • Strong skills in Engineering excellence and operational excellence
      • Working knowledge of Generative AI and LLMs
      • Proficiency in modern software engineering practices and core computer science concepts across algorithms, data structures and distributed computing
      • Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts, methodologies, and frameworks and their implications on data science solutions.
      • Experience in managing the 100+ Software Developers
      • Knowledge of software engineering practices including experimentation and testing methodologies.
      • Experience with cloud computing platforms
      • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to drive change and navigate ambiguity when building new capabilities in an enterprise setting
      • Good knowledge of agile methodologies and tools
      • Passion for understanding business challenges and delivering against those challenges
      • Previous roles with leading companies in the retail industry for customer experience are a plus

      • Strong understanding of the business side of technology.
      • Advanced knowledge of modern software development technologies and methodologies.
      • Ability to drive innovation and implement new technologies and processes. - Familiarity with managing vendor and third-party service provider relationships.
      • Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with software development. - Experience overseeing quality assurance processes.
      • Ability to guide team members' professional development and training.
      • Exceptional problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
      • Demonstrated ability to promote operational excellence within the team, with a focus on process improvement, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
      • A strong commitment to engineering excellence, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging technologies, and promoting best practices within the team.
