Position Summary...
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. About Team
We are looking for a strong Senior Manager who can drive the design, architecture & delivery of our next-generation Market Place DevOps platform keeping scalability, robustness, and accuracy aspects in focus. Enable the developer and operational excellence across Walmart eCommerce across multiple countries with each of them being a multi-billion dollar business for Walmart. You will be challenged with unparalleled complex business problems that span across multiple countries and also cater to various workflows and the diverse nature of the operations within a warehouse across countries.
What You Will Do:
• Lead a team of Top Notch DevOps Engineers to successfully build CI/CD pipeline, build infrastrcuture and deploy cutting-edge platforms for the Omni Supply Chain.
• Focus on goal completion and support teams to overcome the challenges in implementation.
• Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the devops support for products.
• Improve, optimize, and identify opportunities for efficiencies in developer and operational excellence.
• Hire, Develop, and Retain a strong team of software and systems engineers.
• Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with product, engineering, and management teams across different geographic locations.
• Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• You will come up with quality, best practices, and other Non-functional standards, and guide the teams to adhere to the standards.
What You Will Bring
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field.
• 11 years in 16 years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems. • Supply chain expertise with previous working experience in the Supply chain area is desirable.
• Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial.
• 3+ years of leadership/management experience with a team of 10+ engineers.
• A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Microservices, Kafka, Microsoft Azure, Databases, and Problem Solving.
• Hands-on experience with Python/Java and experience working in cloud-based solutions is desirable.
• Understand the product and project management space with Agile methodologies.
• CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for the development and design of infrastructure services for least one cloud-based projects.
• Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
• Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
• Mentoring/coaching Senior staff engineers and other Engineers.
