      Salary: £24,675 - £31,659 per annum (salary subject to review and dependent on experience)

      Hours: 36 per week - working Monday to Friday

      Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

      Contract: Permanent

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Independent Domestic Violence Abuse Advisor to join Clarion’s IDVA team.

Our IDVA’s are crucial to the delivery of high-quality service to the victims of domestic abuse. You’ll need to be a great team player and used to responding quickly to risk and the needs of service users.

      A formal qualification such as IDVA is preferable or a willingness to undertake IDVA training. You’ll have the opportunity to continue your learning to develop your skills as an IDVA.

      Main responsibilities include:

      • Managing a caseload of victims and their children affected by domestic violence. Including accurate recordings of interaction with clients and partner agencies.

      • Increase the safety of victims of domestic violence and their children by risk identification and management.

      • Develop individual safety plans to meet the client’s needs and in conjunction with the client as indicated by the risk assessment.

      • Actively participate in the MARAC process, ensuring current risk has been identified and client’s wishes are taken forward.

      You’ll have sound knowledge of current legislation both criminal and civil relating to domestic abuse including data protection and confidentiality, as well as a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on adults and children, including how to use legislation and best practice to safeguard them. Experience of adopting a trauma informed approach is essential to your client work.
