- 1+ years of experience w/High School
- Insurance sales license, per state DOI regulations, e.g. Health, Accident, Sickness.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but candidates with proven experience will not be excluded from consideration.
- One-year successful sales or retail work experience. Call center, or dental experience also accepted.
- 2 year of proven sales performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle high call volume and follow workflow process.
- Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while evaluating and responding quickly and accurately to inquiries.
- Ability to absorb and retain detailed information.
- Detail-oriented; flexible and creative.
- Knowledge of individual sales procedures and guidelines.
- Adheres to phone and break schedule to maintain service levels.
- Takes initiative to close sales, follow up and obtain referrals.
- Maintains high sales performance and quality.
- Retains or upgrade existing business at risk of cancelling
- Health Insurance License in all 16 Enterprise States
- Receives calls from prospective customers for individual dental insurance products.
- Recommends product options based on customer needs.
- Explains components of plan rate information.
- Completes the sale, obtaining all relevant information to complete application.
- Guides customer through different payment options, determines choice and forwards information to enrollment function.
- Responds to other electronic and written inquiries from inquiring prospects or leads.
- Performs eligibility verifications for specific programs.
- Expediently accesses reference materials to analyze and determine appropriate responses to telephone, electronic, and written inquires with emphasis on sales activities and customer retention.
- Documents each customer encounter and resolution in the appropriate computer tracking system.
- Meets and maintains production standards and key performance indicators.
- Redirects complex calls such as enrollment and billing questions to the appropriate department.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Licensed Insurance Sales Representative - 03499 This position is responsible for receiving inbound calls from prospective enrollees for individual dental insurance product. The incumbent asks questions to understand customer needs and recommends product options based on those needs, then explains plan costs and benefits. The agent overcomes all roadblocks to obtain the sale, completes the new enrollment and guides caller through payment options and plan setup. Also acts as a subject matter expert with emphasis on customer education, satisfaction, and retention. Connects members to the appropriate department for problem resolution.

Base Pay Information
The national base pay range is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $33,200 - $60,500
