What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Establish and foster relationships with the sales department and customers to understand sales potential and customer needs
- Manage the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) sales process, including data collection, analysis, and price negotiations
- Implement customer on-site VMI programs, including inventory solutions and product delivery
- Conduct customer onsite assessments and provide information about service offerings
- Resolve customer concerns regarding billing and product issues, referring concerns to appropriate departments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of project management, procurement, or customer service experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Access
- Ability to perform basic math functions and interpret business-related documents
- Strong interpersonal skills and pleasant telephone etiquette
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes
- Familiarity with CRM tools and business systems to support customer quotations and orders
- Previous training or experience in customer service roles
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures or blueprints
- Experience in a similar industry or role
