      Job Title: Electrician

      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our heavy steel mold/forging production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the electrical repair of production equipment, including overhead cranes, lathes, AC/DC motors and drives, hydraulic systems, control panels, and facility maintenance. This role requires proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and working on combustion systems.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform electrical repair of production equipment, including overhead cranes, lathes, AC/DC motors, and drives
      • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, control panels, sensors, and actuators
      • Run and bend conduit as needed
      • Conduct extensive work on AC/DC Drives
      • Troubleshoot and repair 480volt 3 phase electrical systems, motors, transformers, fuses, switches, sensors, relays, VFDs, and PLC systems
      • Work on overhead cranes and combustion systems
      • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when required
      • Shifts: Train on 1st shift and move to either 2nd or 3rd shift, plus OT
      • Direct Hire position with competitive benefits and insurance

      Essential Skills

      • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems on heavy industrial hydraulic sensors, controls, and equipment
      • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting
      • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance (electrical)
      • Proficiency with 480 volts and AB PLCs
      • Experience with hydraulic systems

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in a steel forging environment
      • Formal electrical education or certification
      • Consistent employment history with one or two companies for most of their career

      Work Environment

      This position is based in a heavy industrial steel forging facility, which is generally dirty and hot due to the melting of steel. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor tasks, with exposure to the elements during season changes. Candidates must be comfortable working in this setting and have previous experience in similar environments. The property is large, requiring movement between 4-5 different buildings. Employees must wear PPE at all times, including steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and any other required PPE. The shifts available are 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am).
