11/20/2024 - Serves as the primary point of contact to the child and family at the time they are referred for evaluation and assessment. Answers questions from the family about the program. Explains the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to families.
- Facilitates the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Reviews the IFSP with the family and service providers periodically. Coordinates, oversees, and documents services provided to children and their families.
- Provides service coordination to an assigned caseload of eligible children and their families.
- Uses coaching strategies to support families to access community resources for children and families who are receiving early intervention services.
- Facilitates the transition process for families which includes: adding a transition outcomes to the IFSP, scheduling and facilitating transition planning meetings, collaborate with providers to gather child progress or updated testing, participate in Individualized Education Program meetings, and coordinate Extended IFSP transition activities.
- Completes required documentation including documentation logs, Medical Assistance billings, statistics, etc.
- Contacts and collaborates with contractual and in-house service providers. Ensures service providers are performing duties in compliance with the IFSP
- Assists in the provision of special instruction to children and families at the Infant and Toddler sites and other natural environment settings such as homes, childcare centers, libraries and other community settings.
- Attends mandatory Birth to Five meetings and workshops.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Possession of a high school diploma or appropriate equivalent, plus 48 college credits or the successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment. Possession of an associate degree in the field of education preferred.
- Three years of experience providing services to children and families.
- Experience with early intervention or knowledge of the Baltimore County Infants and Toddlers Program is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs
- Demonstrate knowledge of effective working relationships with co-workers and staff members/providers from other partner agencies/organizations.
- Demmonstrate knowledge of evidence based practices for a family centered program.
- Knowledge of the educational system. Knowledge of providing services to children and families. Knowledge of Baltimore County Infants and Toddlers Program procedures.
- Excellent organization and communication skills. Skill in establishing rapport with children, their families, service providers, and staff. Skill in using personal computers and office software.
- Ability to work independently and with a team under general supervision. Ability to maintain confidential information.

CLASS TITLE: Infants and Toddlers Representative
TITLE CODE: K 2910 GRADE: 04/ESPBC ($23.13 to $38.79) Hourly Base Pay Scale for Non-Exempt Office Professionals, Clerical, and Classified Employees Represented by ESPBC Effective July 1, 2024).
DEFINITION: Serves as a liaison to families serviced by the Infants and Toddlers Program. Assists with coordination and the implementation of services to children and families. Ensures that services comply with the Individualized Family Service Plans. Ensures that all initiatives support the system-wide goals and strategic plan. Performs other duties as assigned.
