What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support systems/network monitoring to ensure compliance with current policies and security requirements
- Provide guidance and strategies to ensure adherence to Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and other regulations
- Monitor the information technology architecture to maintain a robust information system security infrastructure
- Report and investigate information systems security incidents and violations
- Conduct monitoring and analysis of potential security risks at customer sites and recommend corrective actions

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized Information Security experience with an Associate's Degree in a related field
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or better)
- At least 3 years of experience with enterprise Linux and Windows Server security configurations
- Working knowledge of assessment tools such as Tenable Nessus, Splunk, and nmap
- 2+ years of experience using NIST 800-53a RMF to conduct A&A assessments

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Comfortable presenting to all levels of staff and creating presentations
- Ability to develop and use custom scripts (bash and Windows PowerShell or equivalent)
- Prior experience with the Department of State and application security principles
- 5 years of equivalent experience without a degree, with relevant certifications such as CASP, CISSP, or CISA
