What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, analyze, and modify new and existing programs for various needs, including clinical and operational support
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications, ensuring reliability and performance
- Monitor system performance, provide performance improvement recommendations, and generate reports
- Provide technical support by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and acting as a liaison for clinical or business-related issues
- Participate in IT and clinical committees, provide workflow analysis, and conduct user training sessions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong initiative and customer service skills, with excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Knowledge of operating systems and databases, including Windows, UNIX, Oracle, and SQL
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, HTML, Visual Basic, and C++
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with financial systems and technologies like Cobol, Lawson, XML, and Kronos
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems and familiarity with clinical workflows
- Relevant certifications, such as Epic, Cisco, ITIL, or PMP, are desirable
