      Duties


      • Applies advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments and develop new methods, approaches, and procedures
      • Develops and interprets policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT services throughout the organization.
      • Provides expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
      • Applies methods for identifying and resolving IT workforce issues. Develops goals and objectives to support the organization's Information Technology Strategic Plan.
      • Using knowledge of the interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines, advises senior management and other senior IT professionals on solutions to a wide range of IT issues.

      Requirements

      • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
      • A one-year probationary period may be required.
      • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 3 background investigation.
      • This position may require a health screening. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
      • TDY will be required.

      Qualifications


      Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate a mastery of and skill in applying: - IT theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods;- IT policy and planning concepts and practices;- Interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines;- Methods, approaches, and practices for managing communities of interest involved in development and implementation of IT architectures, investment planning, e-government, and other IT related legislative and policy initiatives.

      Best Qualifying Criteria:
      1. Possess one of the following DoD Approved 8570 Baseline certifications for IAM Level III (e.g., CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO).
      2. Possess at least three (3) years' experience managing enterprise architecture projects and initiatives in complex technical IT support to large and varied user contingent.
      3. Possess at least two (2) years' experience performing Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) duties.
      4. Possess at least three (3) years' experience performing Information System Security Manager (ISSM/ISSO) duties using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS), and Information Technology Approval System (ITAS).
