      Department Overview:

      Office setting with 2 Asset Managers and 8 Helpdesk Staff co-workers located in a building adjacent to UW Hospital. You will be working with SMPH faculty and staff and UW Health clinical staff in a shared UW research and clinical computing environment.

      Schedule:

      Work schedule is determined on student availability, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

      Qualifications:

      Technically inclined self-starter with a desire to learn new skills.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, maintaining effective communication.
      Basic computer familiarity with both PC and Mac computers is preferred but not required

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Receive and document incoming IT items from orders such as laptops, desktops, monitors, or various other equipment. Test monitors to make sure they work, prepare other items for deployment. Receive and run updates on computers from SMPH faculty and Staff. Prepare surplus computers for delivery to SWAP location in Verona. Itemize stored IT assets as needed.

      Physical Demands:

      Must be able to lift up to 30lbs., Push a cart
