      Injection Molding Machine Operator

      Job Description

      We are seeking a dedicated Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating both automated and manual injection molding machines to produce plastic parts for pool products. The operator will set up machines, monitor cycle times, and ensure parts are correctly produced. The use of hand tools or power tools may be required, and adherence to work instructions is essential. Operators will manage multiple machines throughout their shift.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate 2-3 injection mold machines during the shift.
      • Set up plastic injection mold machines to specified standard cycle times.
      • Purge material, remove and install molds.
      • Install auxiliary equipment such as chillers and heaters.
      • Perform minor maintenance and repair work on plastic molds, presses, and secondary equipment.
      • Maintain process set-up sheets.
      • Operate machines according to paperwork instructions.
      • Communicate with the maintenance team regarding any machine issues.
      • Walk between buildings to operate and run machines as necessary.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience as a machine operator (at least 6 months preferred).
      • Knowledge of injection molding processes.
      • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
      • General labor skills.
      • Ability to follow detailed work instructions.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Injection mold experience is a plus.
      • Spanish language proficiency is acceptable.

      Work Environment

      The work environment includes ergonomic exercises before each shift and throughout the day. Operators will rotate to new machines every four hours to maintain a fresh perspective. Tools are provided, and the facility can be extremely hot during summer months. The environment is loud due to the operation of machines and forklifts. Employees will be standing throughout the day. Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (6:00am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm-11:00pm), and 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am). There is a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks. Overtime may be required, with notice given as early as possible.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
