- Generate insights for the Air Miles credit card portfolio that can support senior management in the decision-making process
- Support strategy and product roadmap development by identifying opportunities through analysis of customer, product, portfolio and financial data
- Mine data to identify opportunities to deepen loyalty and banking relationships and deliver value to customers through a wide range of banking products
- Defines and implements business cases and strategic roadmaps for banking products and services, including project and budget approvals.
- Designs, implements, manages, and enhances a single product or suite of products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develops, implements, and monitors key metrics and action plans to optimize financial performance
- Continuously improves processes to identify issues and deliver optimal customer experience.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information from senior management in a timely manner
- Build strong and influential internal relationships to help ensure business objectives are being met
- Support the data onboarding/offboarding of new merchants in the Air Miles program to enable the correct issuance of rewards for the associated credit cards
- Perform regular data audits to ensure reward issuance aligns to product constructs and list of participating merchants in the coalition
- Manage recovery efforts for over-/under-issuance of rewards in the Air Miles credit cards including the data analysis, communication of financial impact and management of regulatory requirements
- Find opportunities to innovate or generate value for customers by leveraging data from partners in the functionality of related payment products
- Work closely with leadership teams to create data strategies that support data modeling
- Provide oversight to technical delivery of projects and process changes
- Minimum undergraduate university degree
- Between 3-4 years of relevant experience in data analysis
- Working experience with some of the following tools: Spotfire, Power BI, DB Visualizer, SQL and Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information
- Ability to present complex information in a simplified way to various audiences
- Ability to problem-solve with a track record of producing results
- Ability to be work independently and able to work on teams cross-functionally
- Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through with important projects
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills

The Insight Analyst, Air Miles has two main accountabilities: (1) to prepare strategic recommendations for product and performance improvements, and (2) to audit and enable the correct issuance of rewards for the Air Miles credit cards. Both responsibilities require to integrate and analyze data from different sources, to understand the current state of the business, and to communicate effectively with stakeholders. This role reports into the Manager, AIR MILES.
