- Recognizes the purpose and goals of the team and makes valued contributions in order to assist own team or project to achieve goals and/or objectives.
- Writes curriculum for live and virtual classroom trainings including trainer scripts/guides, participant materials, visual aids and activities.
- Uses Microsoft OS and Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Word. Utilizes on-line learning software such as Articulate Storyline and Rise as well as basic audio, video, and graphic editing and creation.
- Builds, evaluates and measures training results (measuring back on-the-job performance).
- Employs various training methods (visual aids; performance/learning aids; content resources; transfer of learning).
- Understands and is willing to accept the practices, customs, values and norms of other individuals or groups.
- Has an overall awareness of and is mindful about expenses (e.g. purchasing supplies, submitting expenses timely, etc.) as it relates to the program/department.
- Seeks to serve first, then to lead. Shows genuine care and concern for the families and communities who engage with our services.
- Updates curriculums based on product life cycle.
- Demonstrates credibility through work ethic, personal accountability, professional image, and ethical behavior.
- Applies knowledge to mitigate risk through identifying, assessing, and managing risk that could negatively impact the program/department.
- Translates objectives into effective and efficient plans that are clear and concise.
- Clearances. State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
- Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
- Physical Demands: Requires vision, speech, and hearing.
- Environmental Factors: Primarily remote, with 25% time in Pressley Ridge office, and Pressley Ridge training facilities.
- Working Hours: Normal business hours; flexibility to meet program needs.

Position Summary
The Instructional Design Specialist (IDS) is responsible for the design and development of curriculum and immersive learning experiences for Pressley Ridge. This may include trainer guides/scripts, participant materials, and creating visual aids. The IDS is responsible for the development of multi-media training products using various technologies. They work on multiple project teams to facilitate and gather information from subject matter experts to ensure successful accuracy of curriculum content developed, desired outcomes, and stakeholder alignment. They must also be able to foster a collaborative and interactive learning environment that captures the audience's attention and helps them meet their development end goals.
