The Instructional Designer will spend their time conceptualizing, coordinating, writing, editing and producing instructional content that enables employees to become more effective in their work, with emphasis on a performance-based, learner-centered approach. The position will expand the quantity, quality and impact of eLearning for more than 1000 employees throughout the Acelero Learning and Shine Early Learning network. The incumbent will collaborate with Program Team subject matter experts and other Acelero Learning staff to deliver digital courses and curricula, lead in-person training, and coach less experienced trainers as needed.
Geography for this position is flexible as the position will require travel (up to 20% of the time).
Job Responsibilities:
• Design and develop interactive, engaging and effective learning experiences for early childhood teachers, family advocates, coaches and/or program leadership
• Participate in all aspects of the instructional design process, including defining, developing, implementing, evaluating and revising instructional materials, formative evaluations, and knowledge assessments
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to identify and develop learning goals and objectives and ensure that instructional content addresses the needs of the learner
• Provids project management to communicate, convene and coordinate meetings and track design milestones and deadlines
• Provide guidance and assistance to content development team to promote the use of sound instructional design principles and meet learning outcomes and business objectives
• Analyze learner trends and modify approach based on findings
• Utilize the Acelero Learning’s LMS effectively in accordance with established protocols
• Participate in assigned meetings, events and training as required
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in instructional design, including the development of on-demand eLearning required
• Experience with in-person training/facilitation required (in an educational setting a plus)
• High level of proficiency with Adobe Captivate
• Experience with learning management systems (e.g. Cornerstone, Blackboard, Moodle) preferred
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position
• Travel required locally or long-distance up to 20% of the time for work-related meetings and functions
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationMust have reliable internet access
Salary range: $54,820 - $$68,525
