What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach anatomy and physiology as well as general biology, with a minimum teaching load of three lecture/lab courses each semester
- Provide academic advising to students and disseminate information about available college services
- Use various teaching modalities to engage diverse student populations and ensure compliance with federal guidelines for distance learning
- Participate in curriculum development, academic assessment, and other college initiatives
- Maintain office hours for student accessibility and provide timely feedback on assignments

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in biology or related discipline with 18 hours of graduate credit in the teaching discipline
- College-level teaching experience in biology
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate student success in higher education
- Commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity within the educational environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Community college teaching experience, particularly in anatomy and physiology courses
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment
- Familiarity with online teaching environments and learning management systems like Canvas
- Bilingual, preferably in English and Spanish
- Track record of leadership in academic or community settings
