Akkodis is hiring for a contract Insurance Billing Specialist to support our client in the healthcare space!

Summary:
The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of medical insurance claims for all government and non-government payers. This role requires a solid understanding of billing and coding guidelines, proficiency in Soarian Financials, and the ability to effectively resolve claim edits and coordinate rebill requests. The Billing Specialist acts as a liaison between various Revenue Cycle areas and the billing agency to resolve claim issues, maintaining professionalism and attention to detail throughout all claim submission and resolution processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and resolve claim edits in the billing scrubber for both government and non-government payers.
- Submit claims within 48-72 hours of creation date to ensure timely processing.
- Support billing edits and processes within Soarian Financials, ensuring compliance with all relevant billing guidelines.
- Coordinate and manage rebill requests from internal departments, including Compliance, Collections, Audit, Customer Service, Health Information Management (HIM), and external vendors.
- Serve as a liaison between Revenue Cycle areas and the billing agency to resolve problematic claim edits efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing and coding guidelines to ensure claims are billed accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, professionalism, and efficiency in all aspects of claim submission, rebilling, and resolution processes.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical insurance billing, preferably in facility billing.
- Proficiency in Soarian Financials, with experience supporting billing edits and processes.
- Strong understanding of billing and coding guidelines for both government and non-government payers.
- Experience in claim resolution, including the ability to review and resolve claim edits within a 48-72 hour timeframe.

- Ability to serve as a liaison between Revenue Cycle areas and the billing agency to resolve claim issues.
- High attention to detail and timeliness in claim submission, rebilling, and resolution activities.
