What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Obtain insurance pre-certification for scheduled surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic appointments
- Follow up on assigned third-party accounts to verify eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorization requirements
- Process correspondence from insurance companies and other departments within specified time limits
- Provide patients with estimates of out-of-pocket expenses and assist with payment arrangements
- Collaborate with departmental associates and other hospital staff to ensure timely authorization and scheduling

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with healthcare insurance
- Bachelor of Arts or Science preferred
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical School or Diploma Program preferred
- Associate's Degree preferred

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in obtaining insurance prior authorizations specifically for elective surgeries and/or radiology visits
- Strong understanding of various healthcare insurance plans and patient payment responsibilities
