- Receive (via fax) and process referrals and authorizations
- Coordinate and manage the referral and/or authorization process for all insurance lines, in accordance with benefit contract guidelines and criteria
- Assist in resolving claims related issues
- Assist with internal and external mail, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- 1+ years’ experience in an intake support and/or customer service role in managed care
- Knowledge of the referral and authorization process as well as the daily activities of an intake unit.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Basic Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT coding.
- Requires knowledge of behavioral health and medical terminology.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
