      Performance Foodservice, PFG’s broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. The Performance Foodservice team delivers delicious food, but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.

      Job Description

      The Intern position will perform the following duties:

      • Provides clerical and administrative support, including the preparation of correspondence such as letter writing, transcribing, copying and distributing, filing, and processing mail, facsimiles and other correspondence.
      • Interacts with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure customers’ and vendors’ questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
      • Functions as a contributing member of the department’s team and other teams, as assigned.
      • Demonstrates ability to communicate with customers, vendors and company personnel in a positive and proactive manner.
      • Answers and coordinates incoming phone calls.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned
