      Internship Details to Know


      The Kendra Scott Summer Internship Program offers a hands-on experience inside our rapidly growing multi-category fashion lifestyle brand. We value you. In our program, we are dedicated to shaping your unique interests and career aspirations, equipping you for success in your career and life.

      Basics

      • 10-week, paid experience in Austin, TX
        • The internship will begin on June 4th and end August 7th
      • Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX for the summer and potential future FT role
      • Applicants should apply for the internship they are most interested in pursuing
        • Applicants that apply for multiple opportunities will not be considered
      • Sponsorship assistance is not currently provided
      • The deadline for internship applications is November 3, 2023, at 11:59 pm PST
      • Candidates will be informed of their status throughout our process, with final offers being extended in December 2023

      Position Overview:
      Reporting to our Sourcing Manager, our Sourcing Intern will assist in all aspects of the sourcing & production cycle for jewelry. We will work together to counter source high-volume jewelry product with various suppliers across the globe strategically for both execution excellence and cost-savings to support expansive growth and increased profitability. This will help to support our plan to manage the increased tariffs/duties from China but also to help our production capacity and expand our supplier portfolio . Main priorities will be assisting in the vetting and scoping of new potential factories, creating supplier capability recaps, production data analysis & reporting, SKU level costing analysis, & sustainability market assessments/proposals.

      Responsibilities:
      • Implements plans to achieve departmental priorities
      • Work within our PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system to manage supplier data as needed
      • Create new and existing supplier assessments by documenting strengths, weaknesses, capabilities, performance history, etc.
      • Assist Sourcing Manager with monthly reporting on key production & sourcing metrics that measure overall departmental goals such as diversification, supplier growth/decline, etc.
      • Analyze current core replenishment assortment in terms of supplier/country allocation & SKU level costing. Identify opportunities for supplier shifts to maximize profitability. Collaborate with Production & Planning teams to assess buying strategies for Core product and identify areas of opportunity
      • Research and create competitive analysis for jewelry brand sustainability initiatives as it relates to supply chain; propose initiatives or goals KS could set to improve
