      The Getinge Spring Internship Program is a paid, competitive, full-time program that gives college students interested in the Medical Technology industry the opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic culture. Working closely with Mentors, Coops and Interns have an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes at a major Medical Device company.

      Students will benefit from on the job training and mentoring in their field of study/chosen department. They will participate in professional development events and workshops during their time here. Getinge’s Co-ops and Interns will have the opportunity to build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal skills. Students should expect to contribute individually and as a team member to support a designated functional area (i.e., Operations, Research & Development, Quality, Engineering, Regulatory, and HR/Training), and work towards goals and objectives assigned by their manager/supervisor.

      Position Overview :

      Biomedical Engineering Student supports R&D Engineers in the creation and the development of medical devices. Participates in design & development activities. Supports test planning and generation of test protocols. Contributes to creation of test setups. Supports and performs test execution and collecting of test data, and generation of test reports. Participates in engineering meetings and reviews and capturing of meeting minutes. Participates in the creation of documentation and building of Design History Files (DHF)

      Learning Outcomes:

      Introduction to Medical Device Design Control methods for both product development and design change processes. Student will contribute to development and creation of Design Inputs, Design Development, Design Outputs, Verification & Validation Testing, and Transfer to Production. A key objective will be an introduction to the regulatory requirements of product design focusing on Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and record

      Salary range: $21/hr - $22/hr
