DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker is actively seeking an Intern for our Alexandria, Virginia office. As a part of our Civil Engineering team, the Intern will assist with various departments in technical duties and projects as assigned.

• Collaborate with a large team of multi-disciplinary engineers, architects, planners, and other professionals.
• Assist project managers, project engineers, and task managers with various tasks, including preparing engineering related calculations, develop drawings, reporting, and possibly field assessments and assignment.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or a senior level team member.
• Assist with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
• Naturally, you’ll need computer skills in Microsoft Office. AutoCAD or Micro station design software is preferred.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $15/hr. - $30/hr. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
