      Position Overview

      Are you passionate about sustainability in the built environment? Motivated to go beyond Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and seek innovative solutions for the building and infrastructure industr y ? Join Autodesk’s Impact Team to support the development of Autodesk’s sustainability technology and solutions to the Architecture, Engineering, Construction , and Operations ( AECO ) industry’s biggest environmental challenges.

      As a sustainability intern with a focus on the AECO industry, you will apply your passion for environmental stewardship to impact how designers & engineers deliver high-performing buildings and infrastructure. You will conduct and leverage industry research to shape Autodesk’s sustainability st rategy, inform the scoping of new technology and source data for new workflows. You will learn from and collaborat e with Autodesk ’s product , platform and strategy team members to assess how technology solutions align with and advance sustainability for the built environment . In this role you will expand your AECO industry knowledge while applying your research skills and passion to synthesize environmental challenges to advance Autodesk’s technologies and drive sustainable solutions.

You love working with fast-paced, cross-functional teams to distill complicated problems into simple and elegant solutions. You are an effective communicator who thinks strategically, writes concisely, and works collaboratively.

      Responsibilities

      • Synthesize research of current and relevant global pressures, policies and regulations for energy, carbon & other environmental performance reporting requirements across the AECO industry with a lens of Autodesk ’s existing and potential technology and industry workflows

      • Assess and evaluate environmental impacts associated with desktop and cloud technology

      • Explore and expand partnership opportunities to advance technology, frameworks, and capabilities as part of Autodesk’s platform for sustainability solutions

      • Present research, ideas and findings to team members

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s or / Master’s degree in a relevant field e.g. Environmental Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management with an anticipated grad date of December 2025 or later

      • A p assion for sustainability , eager to innovate at the cross section of policy , design and technology

      • Training or experience in one or more AECO discipline(s): design, build and operat e

      • Experience in research, data analysis and presenting findings

      • Comfortable working autonomously, across countries and cultures with a global and team - player mindset

      • A natural communicator , effective for a wide variety of audiences

      • Excellent organization, presentation and interpersonal skill s

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Familiar with Autodesk BIM technology: AEC Collection , Revit and/or Civil3D

      • Strong analytical skills

      • Team Player and c ollaborative

      • Systematic and r esourceful

      • Experience in a global high-tech company is an asset

      • Familiarity with third-party AECO sustainability technology solutions

      About the US Intern Program

      The 202 5 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 19 – August 8 or June 1 6 – September 5 ). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

      Salary Transparency

      Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

      For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

      • $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
      • $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
      • $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
