What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan and perform financial, compliance, performance, and operational audits in accordance with Internal Audit and Inspector General Standards
- Develop risk-based internal audit and consulting programs as the lead auditor
- Conduct data analytics to identify and monitor risks specific to assignments
- Analyze risks associated with audit clients and assess mitigation strategies
- Prepare draft audit reports and participate in editing for final distribution

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active and current certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g., CPA, CFE, CIA)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of verified work experience in the internal audit profession or equivalent
- Knowledge of audit standards, procedures, and practices relevant to the role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience conducting internal audits for local government agencies
- Familiarity with TeamMate Audit Software and analytics tools
- Knowledge of Florida Statutes and general practices associated with Florida county government
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
