      Who we’re looking for

      Toyota’s Internal Logistics Team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer.

      The primary responsibility of this role is to support Internal Logistics’ automation initiatives and cost reduction efforts.

      Reporting to the Body Weld Internal Logistics Pilot Manager, the person in this role will support the Plant Logistics objective to be safest and most efficient Internal Logistics Team in the world.

      What you’ll be doing

      • 10% Determining automation opportunities in both Assembly and Body Weld, plan the solution, and create the cost justification document. Through this activity you will create your annual capital budget and project list. Automation will be achieved by applying the latest Autonomous Mobile Robotics technology.

      • 20% Change point management. Plan and coordinate process changes, layout changes, and manpower changes as needed to support model change activity, safety initiatives, and productivity improvements.

      • 70% Capital project management for Assembly and Body Weld internal logistics equipment from justification and procurement through installation and launch. You will be working closely with production, maintenance, vendors, and contractors to complete each project. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and follow-up are required.

      What you bring

      • Experience working in a team environment and working closely with customer and support groups.

      • Experience launching Autonomous Mobile Robots.

      • Capital project management experience.

      • Can perform Control Reliability Risk Assessments.

      • Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) experience.

      • Can use Autodesk AutoCAD.

      • Internal Logistics labor planning and burden calculation experience.

      • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
