WESTLAKE WARRIOR | Accounting Intern

Summary:

The accounting intern is responsible for practicing their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting. Their duties include supporting accounting teams with various accounting projects and tasks as they gain more confidence within their desired industry.

Responsibilities:

• Organize a financial filing system that is easily accessible.
• Prepare accounting reports to be presented to department management.
• Assist in balance sheet reconciliation preparation and reconciling item investigation.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements, making sure that the final figures on statements are correct.
• Ad-hoc projects and tasks.

Requirements:

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.

EXPERIENCE

This role is entry level.

What’s our Pay rate?

• $17.28 per hour
• The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
