ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the ESG team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry.

Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will have a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of environmental sustainability and contribute to our ongoing Life Cycle Assesement (LCA) projects. The intern will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to assess the environmental impacts of products, processes, and systems using LCA methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsiblities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in conducting life cycle assessments of products, processes, and technologies, considering environmental factors.
• Analyze data related to resource consumption, energy usage, emissions, and waste generation throughout product life cycles.
• Use LCA software tools and databases to model and simulate life cycle stages, scenarios, and impacts.
• Participate in interpreting LCA results and preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support the integration of LCA findings into ongoing projects and processes, ensuring the practical implementation of sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align sustainability objectives with overall business goals.
• Translate complex LCA outcomes into actionable insights for various departments, making the environmental impact understandable and relevant.
• Work closely with project leaders to identify and prioritize levers for sustainability enhancement, ensuring alignment with company's Mission 30 vision.
• Assist in developing strategies to minimize environmental impact across different stages of the product life cycle, considering specifics factors.
• Participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions to identify innovative solutions that balance environmental responsibility with business growth.
• Support the creation of reports, presentations, and communication materials to share LCA results and sustainability strategies with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior team members to stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in sustainable business.
• Work across the organization on sustainable practices related to space.

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must

• Currently be a student in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or in a relevant area;
• Have familiarity with life cycle assessment concepts, methodologies, and tools is a plus.
• Have proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Have strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Fluency in spoken and written English;
• Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-citizenship or valid work permit for Luxembourg).

2. It would be nice if you had

• Hands-on experience in conducting real-world LCA analyses.
• Hands-on experience in using Simapro software
• Additional languages considered an asset
