What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation between government representatives and non-English speakers
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism during interactions

- Follow speaker directions and manage the flow of conversations effectively
- Adhere to applicable ethics and standards in interpretation

What is Required (Qualifications):
- At least one year of over-the-phone consecutive or simultaneous interpreting experience
- Two professional references who can vouch for interpreting work
- Minimum age: 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Full fluency in English and native or near-native proficiency in target language

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agencies such as USCIS, CBP, FEMA, etc.
- Accreditation from the American Translation Association (ATA) or through a higher education institution
