What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate communication between LEP patients and visitors and LMC staff and providers
- Provide sight-translation of medical materials to enhance patient comprehension

- Interpret accurately with the use of medical, business, and general terminology
- Follow guidelines set by the National Council on Interpreting in Healthcare (NCIHC)

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 Year of experience as a medical interpreter
- Nationally certified through the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)
- Completion of Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter specific proficiency testing and training
