- The starting teacher salary for 0 years of experience is $58,500 . This role is eligible for various stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership ranging from $500-$4,000 each. We also offer opportunities and incentives through our Teacher Career Pathway with the potential to earn up to $10,000 in additional compensation. - Additional hourly compensation is provided for after school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.
- Paid Family Leave: Eligible staff may receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child, based on their tenure with the organization and caregiver designation.
- Tuition Reimbursement: Staff members may apply for up to u200B 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year subject to manager discretion and budget availability.
- Employer-Paid Mental/Behavioral Health: 5 face-to-face counseling sessions within a year, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and other work-life services available at no cost.
- High level of content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience
- Education: Bacheloru2019s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution required
- Experience: Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferredu00A0
- Licenses or Certifications: u00A0 State certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned and ability to pass an IDEA content assessment
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- Teach Critical Student Intervention (CSI) instruction utilizing on model programming for small groups consisting of students in 3 rd -8 th grade that are academically at risk in reading and/or math to include students in general education, 504, Response to Intervention, Special Education, and English Language
- Teach district approved research-based intervention to small groups consisting of students in Kinder-2 nd grade (dependent on campus assignment) that are academically at risk in reading and/or math to include student in general education, 504, Response to Intervention, Special Education, and English Language Learners.
- Teach district approved research-based intervention to small groups consisting of students that are in 9 th -12 th grade (dependent on campus assignment) academically at risk to graduate to include student in general education, 504, Response to Intervention, Special Education, and English Language Learners
- The remaining instructional minutes may include the following:
- Teach Dyslexia Instructional Service Minutes in small groups consisting of Special Education Dyslexia students as a Provider of Dyslexia Instruction u00A0

- Work closely with general education teachers in order to coordinate the support they are providing to students requiring intervention. u00A0
- Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations u00A0
- Learn, master and deliver relevant content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives and texts u00A0
- Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback u00A0
- Implement formal and informal assessments to track each individual studentu2019s progress and learning u00A0
- Communicate studentsu2019 progress with student and family on a weekly basis u00A0
- Effective facilitation and personal use of technology as a communication and educational tool to improve student achievement and manage work related tasks. u00A0
- Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus- wide initiatives u00A0
- Help shape and develop a school wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student u00A0
- Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding and respect for the communities in which they identify. u00A0
- Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all studentsu2019 needs u00A0
- Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, before and after-school duties, and school wide meetings and functions u00A0
- Engage in summer and year-long district, school and personal learning and development u00A0
- Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week u00A0

Role Mission: The IDEA Interventionist Teacher intervenes with small groups of students who have identified gaps of 2 or more years in Reading and/or Math with the goal of closing that gap by 2 years in just one school year. The IDEA interventionist plays a crucial part in ensuring that all students are prepared to successfully participate in IDEAu2019s AP for All initiative.u00A0 This is an approach to academic intervention used to provide systematic, and appropriately intensive assistance to children who are at risk for or already underperforming as compared to appropriate grade- or age-level standards. Intervention teachers will use universal screening, Direct Instruction intervention, frequent progress monitoring, and increasingly intensive research-based instruction and interventions for students who continue to have difficulty.
