- Develop high-quality supply plans (inventory, production, capacity, and distribution) by using best-practice processes and sound business judgment.
- Monitor plan attainment and cut reports
- Proactively communicate potential service issues; investigate root cause and work cross functionally to implement corrective action.
- Develop, monitor and report key performance metrics
- Deliver against annual Total Delivered Cost, inventory plans and service level targets
- Improve plan performance by effectively analyzing sources of error and recommending appropriate corrective action plans.
- Foster cross-functional discussion to improve the quality and interpretation of supply plans
- Work with External Manufactures on Order fulfillment
- Handle phase in/out strategies for promotional activities and product discontinuations.
- Lead the supply portion of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, focusing on delivering a concise business message, highlighting exceptions and presenting qualified alternatives.
- Evaluate Sales and Marketing activity proposals with the Supply Planner for capacity requirements and production feasibility; resolve supply issues related to the requests.
- Provide Project Manager Support for the Strategic Product Plan, including crafting the supply chain and launch plans for major initiatives and new products.
- Manage relationships with plants to eliminate of obstacles to more efficient production cycles.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred
- 3+ years of work experience in Planning, Supply Chain, or similar roles
- 2-4 years of related experience in consumer products/manufacturing industries.
- Previous experience in a cGMP production environment including master scheduling, forecasting or planning.
- Experience using Advanced Planning software tools such as SAP.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experienced in setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build strong relationships across the functions and levels
- Demonstrated strong aptitude in analysis, root causes identification, and problem solving
- Able to analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions, and formulate next steps
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communicator
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations

Your role at Clorox:
The Inventory Planner helps teams plan and handle the production and distribution of goods. They use the best available information to meet production, capacity, and inventory goals. They also use their business knowledge and judgment to maintain strong discussions across different functions. This helps manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, and transportation teams plan, complete, and handle finances.
This role provides a chance to learn about planning processes and become proficient in using SAP and other systems used by the Planning teams.
The Inventory Planner ensures the successful execution of supply and production plans. They coordinate the distribution of materials or finished goods with Co-packers to keep production on schedule. They also monitor purchase orders with vendors for any changes in dates and supply chain issues, and alert key partners when problems occur. This role is meaningful for keeping the production and supply chain running efficiently.In this role, you will:

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
