      Purpose

      PURPOSE

      We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven IOL Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales of Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) and launching products in a designated region. You will engage with KOL's during initial Launch phase, ophthalmologists, surgeons, hospitals, and ASCs', providing technical expertise, product education, and exceptional customer service to enhance our brand presence and achieve sales goals.

      This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of an emerging portfolio of ophthalmic products while working in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

      This position is responsible for launching & growing sales territory by promoting the emerging line of BVI intraocular lenses to ophthalmologists and other relevant call points related to cataract surgery. This includes establishing relationships with key decision makers involved in maintaining and growing our portfolio. Target call points will include hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and private ophthalmic clinics.

      Key Responsibilities

      RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Demonstrates a high degree of confidence and competence selling in the surgical suite. Effectively gains surgical evaluations with new customers in the clinic & operating room. Provides recommendations on technique and clinical data to surgeons & staff involved in evaluating our IOL products.
      • Build relationships to understand the unmet needs of our customers and act as a consultant by offering BVI's portfolio as a value-based solution. Effectively presents to groups both small and large, employing advanced electronic sales platforms. Prospects, cold calls, and visits to clinics as needed to achieve sales plan objectives.
      • Analyze regional market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and effectively position IOL products. Strategically positions BVI's IOL portfolio to a given customer & marketplace.
      • Demonstrates a high degree of sales competency, approaching customers with our portfolio as a comprehensive value-based solution to their surgical and clinical needs.
      • Utilizes customer relationship management software to enter customer data and daily activities. Employs the array of sales reports, data, and analysis provides to make informed targeting decisions. Utilizes local market information and understands the competitive landscape to set short- and long-term territory goals.
      • Works seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Capital & Consumable Territory Managers to promote the full BVI portfolio of products.
      • Stays up to date on the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in the ophthalmic field, specifically related to IOL products, to maintain credibility and enhance sales performance.


      Qualification

      REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
      • Proven record of overachievement in sales results
      • Experience launching new products successfully in territory
      • Ability to lead and gain support for initiatives through cross functional collaboration
      • Resilient, self-starter with high sense of urgency to achieve desired results
      • Skilled in consultative selling
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Can clearly convey sales messages across key stakeholders, including surgeons, office, and surgical staff.
      • Ability to analyze sales reporting and data to make well informed decisions
      • Ability to establish, maintain and leverage internal and external relationships
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office's suite of products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
      • Knowledge of and successful utilization of Customer Relationship Management software

        MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
      • Bachelor's degree in business and/or related Life Science field
      • 3+ years of experience working in Ophthalmic MedTech sales roles
      • Knowledge of the regional healthcare landscape in the ophthalmic field.
      • Previous experience in customer-facing sales or clinical support role.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
      • Provide documentation of acceptable driving record
      • Stand or walk for a least 4 hours at a time
      • Lift up to 20lbs
      • May require frequent and overnight travel (20%) including Industry Conferences & Sales Meetings
