- Responsible for global business targets (orders, revenue, cost, and margin) of the PL.
- Define the global business vision for IoT and Smart Data across O.E and Services in coordination with corporate teams to define and develop Wabtec's Portfolio of products and services solutions.
- Develop business cases and product/service plans for the selection, definition, development, validation, scheduling, and introduction to the market of Digital innovations.
- Gather customers’ needs and expectations in the space of RCM and CBM.
- Identify market trends, drive market intelligence and competitors’ analysis, assess opportunities for innovations, stay abreast of pricing and solutions, and benchmark adjacent industries.
- Define the Product aftermarket strategy and roadmap in regards to IoT and smart data (product roadmap, business models…)
- Ensure standard products/services are used in tenders and projects in the IoT and Smart Data space.
- Steer the continuous competitiveness improvement of IoT and Smart Data Products/Services.
- Engineering Degree or Business Degree, preferably with an MBA.
- Ideally you will have sales/business management of sophisticated technical/digital OE and services in the rail industry/OEM supplier’s electronics or telecom sectors; P&L responsibility experience is welcome.
- Experience in managing teams that are remote and or dispersed in a matrix management environment.
- Strong communication abilities, including management by influence.
- Self-starter/entrepreneur mindset, result orientation
- Fluent English, and other European languages a plus.

Role: I.O.T and Smart Data Product Line Senior Director (m\w\d)
Location: UK Remote, Europe, with easy access/vicinity to any of our sites in France, Italy, Spain, and Germany.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
How will you make a difference?
The IoT and Smart Data Product Line Director is responsible for setting the IoT and Smart Data vision and strategy in the connectivity and data analytics space across the Transit Group (Services and O.E). Building from market trends, state of the art of technology, and customer expectations in coordination with the respective functions globally and regionally, you will drive business targets together with OE and Services Product Managers.
