Job Description

- The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing onsite and remote support for end-users at client’s Concord plant.
- This role performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames in the manufacturing and office environments supporting a range of equipment including PCs, printers, servers, limited network/RF support, etc.
- Responsible for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software technology.
- Responds to requests and incident tickets for first level support to users (onsite and remote) on any IT related matter. Escalation to levels 2 and 3 when applicable.
- Management of spares and assets inventory in the Inventory management tool
- Training of end-users and communication on Corporate IT initiatives, best practices, or any other relevant IT-related topics.
- Participation in any plant IT-related activities on offices and manufacturing systems.
- Proposes and implements solutions to improve and solve routine problems.
- Assist with management of hardware refresh projects – PC’s, printers, timeclocks
- Supports new hires onboarding by introducing them to client hardware, software, and IT policies.
- Follows standard operating procedures.
- Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information / materials.
- Gives periodic status reports in written and verbal formats.
- Always focused on safety.
- Associate degree in IT-related field preferred or High school diploma with equivalent years of experience in a similar role.
- Relevant certifications a plus
- 3+ years’ experience in an IT support role working with end-users.
- 3+ years’ experience working with computer hardware and software, including installation and maintenance.
- Technical knowledge of computer hardware, computer software, printers, and peripheral equipment
- Limited knowledge of LAN/WAN equipment and topology
- Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and MS Suite
- General knowledge of mobile technology.
- General knowledge of “ticketing systems” (ServiceNow)
- Effective organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others.
