      IT Director, Giesecke +Devrient ePayments America, Inc.(GDUSEP) will be managing 3 sites: G+D Bolingbrook, IL Dulles, VA and Twinsburg, OH. Bolingbrook IL will be the primary home location.

      Mission

      The local IT at GDUSEP is a shared service for all Giesecke +Devrient’s divisions (ePayment, Mobile Security, Veridos and Currency Technology in the US). Current scope is Production IT in PCI certified High Secure Areas, customer individual developments and Commercial IT. Actual headcount of the IT Team is 14.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Act as the key business unit interface for all IT deliverables for both internal and external customers. Negotiate priorities, deliverables, service levels, budge and timeframes to ensure timely and effective resolutions of complex customer requirements.
      • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of all application maintenance and infrastructure services, including data center operations, managed network services (voice and data), end user computing and service desk of GDUS
      • Provide leadership, training, and direction to managers and staff on enabling and continually improving the delivery of world class IT operations to business customers
      • Work with client business and technology leadership in defining, prioritizing and achieving strategic objectives for infrastructure and product portfolio for end customers
      • Define the local technology infrastructure roadmaps for application and develop integrated local infrastructure concerning the G+D Global IT Guidelines
      • Assess current Data Center environment with appropriate consideration to replication, disaster recovery, virtual centers and cloud computing based on G+D standards and architectural blueprints
      • Serve as a senior escalation point for operational vendor management issues
      • Work closely with security group to ensure data privacy and security standards are adequately maintained to meet compliance requirement such as PCI, AMEX, ISO27001 and other government regulations.

      Decision Rights

      • Senior management responsibility for technical solutioning of managed services offerings across client, and day to day delivery of app maintenance and infrastructure support services
      • Oversees and directs the activities of local service delivery, operations specialists and sourced providers
      • Local responsibility for setting, communicating, measuring, and meeting, service metrics; establishing priorities, standards, and direction for meeting customer service level agreements; and establishing / maintaining service catalogs and deliverables
      • Accountable for staffing, resource management, cost budget, technical direction, estimates, and overall process for all app maintenance and infrastructure delivery of GDUS

      Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

      • Working knowledge of computing platforms including Windows, Unix
      • Working knowledge of network and network security
      • Experience working with ITIL and CMMI processes and / or implementing ITIL or CMMI processes in an organization
      • Experience working in a shared services environment as part of a global IT Team
      • Knowledge of or experience with data center and platform consolidation
      • Experience working in a highly-sourced, global delivery model
      • Experience in techniques that produce infrastructure designs of complex IT systems (discovery, analysis, assessment of alternative solutions, cost/economic impact analysis, operational / integration impact analysis)
      • Experience with incorporating technology trends and driving innovation
      • Ability to instantly develop strong rapport and build relationships with individuals and teams at multiple levels of the organization.
      • Superior written and verbal communications skills; able to create executive level presentations
      • Excellent influence, negotiation and presentation skills
      • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of management
      • Experience in managing programs and workforces
      • Willingness to travel
      • Excellent English language skills

      Required Education / Experience

      • University degree in the field of Information Technology or Engineering or Business or equivalent
      • Minimum 5 years of experience at senior level in IT leadership role
      • Extensive technical breadth gained through experience in multiple infrastructure domain architecture disciplines, including experience in application and information disciplines.
