Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Operations Engineer with a strong background in Java, Python, and Ansible, as well as web development skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with integrated development environments (IDEs) like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, and Visual Studio Code (VSCode), and be proficient in database management using Oracle Database. The role involves managing, deploying, and maintaining IT systems, automating repetitive tasks, and ensuring seamless collaboration through version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modify and maintain IT systems and applications using Java for Confluence/Jira platforms;
• Develop automation scripts in Python for tasks such as file manipulation, data processing, and system administration;
• Use Ansible to automate the deployment of applications and services, including server code management, database configuration, and service management;
• Utilize HTML to structure web page content for internal and external tools;
• Implement, test, and deliver hotfixes/ad-hoc workarounds. Create dashboards and alerts on Atlassian products;
• Perform database management tasks using Oracle Database;
• Execute Data Definition Language (DDL) commands for database structure management (CREATE, ALTER, DROP);
• Carry out Data Manipulation Language (DML) operations for CRUD activities (INSERT, SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE);
• Monitor system dashboards, alerts, and cloud-deployed services using tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, and JavaMelody;
• Use Git for version tracking, branching, and merging to maintain and review changes in IT systems;
• Facilitate team collaboration and integration through Git's distributed version control;
• Manage Git repositories hosted on Bitbucket, leveraging pull requests, code reviews, and issue tracking to streamline IT operations;
• Integrate Bitbucket with CI/CD tools to automate build and deployment processes;

Qualifications

Studies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;

Knowledge and Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in IT Operations Engineer role, with a strong focus on Java, Python, Ansible, and web development;
• Proficient in managing Linux system operations for updates, implementation, and maintenance in an On-Premises Data Center;
• Proficiency in using IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, and Visual Studio Code (VSCode).
• Strong experience with Oracle Database management and SQL;
• Advanced knowledge of Git and Bitbucket for version control and collaboration;
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices;
• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces;
• Previous experience in Atlassian Toolchain (Jira, Confluence) or other similar toolchains;
• Availability to travel (required only for the training period);
• Problem-solving and detail-oriented attitude;
• Good communication skills/Team spirit and ability to work in a cross-functional team;
• Experience in breaking down requirements into technical tasks and providing estimates;
• Experience with effective communication of technical challenges to non-technical stakeholders;
• An ability to perform well in a large environment, excellent analytical thinking and multitasking.
