You will be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets Team and be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, developing easy, flexible, and personalized banking solutions to enhance client experience and change the way that people bank. As a QA (Quality Assurance) Automation Developer, you will help develop testing automation scripts and help with the implementation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. The QA Automation Developer determines methods and approaches to automate testing requirements specifications into programming instructions. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day-to-day tasks, exercising considerable latitude to conduct data source analysis and negotiate with users regarding requirements.

How you'll succeed

• Programming skills - Develop automation code for testing computer programs and webapps . Review, evaluate, and modify new or existing automation code.

• Systems implementation - Participate in the project meetings, technical design, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.

• Planning and coordination - Interact with business analysts, quality assurance leads, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members.

• Leadership skills – Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases and suggest improvements or enhancements.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience with : Eggplant using SenseTalk , Web Services, XML, and GIT. You have strong knowledge of: Object Oriented Design, JSON, and R ESTFul web services. You have written automation testing scripts and G UI Automation scripts using Selenium Automation, or Postman .

• You're digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.

• It’s an asset if : You have experience writing and executing SQL queries, MongoDB, have software development experience in Java, Python, etc. and you have experience with Jenkins, J ira or Confluence, and/or other build & deploy tools.
