      Minimum Requirements

      Education and Experience

      • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field.
      • Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
      • Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position.

      Licenses, Registration, and Certifications

      • Certified Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other relevant certification preferred.

      Job Description

      Position Summary

      IT Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting technological solutions to improve organization IT and OT Security in accordance with regulatory and industry best practices and standards.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Handle day-to-day implementation, monitoring and operational support of hardware, software, customer applications, managed solutions, and service provider relationships.
      • Design, implement, administer, and maintain vulnerability management and remediation services.
      • Engage in information security projects that evaluate existing security infrastructure and propose changes as defined by security leadership and architects. Additionally, deliver projects on time, within budget and in accordance with project charter.
      • Perform as Cyber Security SME during incident response and system stability issues as they occur. This may include involvement outside of regular work hours, and responsiveness is expected. Implementing Incident Response Procedures.
      • Implement solutions observing compliance – Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Payment Card Industry (PCI), and privacy laws.
      • Enhance our threat intelligence by integrating Indications of Compromise (IOCs) into our detection and response capabilities. Lead the charge in designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining Intrusion Detection and SIEM solutions.
      • Respond to and handle service and escalation tickets within SLA expectations.
      • Understand and integrate solutions that adhere to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the Center for Internet Security Critical Security Controls, as well as other compliance frameworks as required by the organization.
      • On Call Rotation
      • Other duties as assigned.
