      As a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer, you will serve as an expert as part of an established team of professionals supporting our business. You will have the opportunity to engage and overcome new challenges on a regular basis, in a team oriented and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with penetration testing, forensics and security monitoring tools such as; Linux security tools, Forensics, Shodan, SIEM, etc. Candidates must be able to use security assessment methodologies and demonstrate superior business acumen, written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate must have working knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework, ISO27001/2, and other security frameworks. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be detailed oriented, experienced in identifying vulnerabilities, exposures, and implement remediation actions accordingly.       Position Type: Full-Time
      Work Location: Aurora, IL
      This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

      • Participates in the evaluation and recommendation of technology solutions.
      • Proactively identify cyber threats, threat vectors, threat actors, threat trends, and provide business risk-based recommendations.
      • Conduct research and analysis of adversarial Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
      • Development and maintenance of advanced automated alerts and playbooks which correlate indicators of compromise.
      • Development and maintenance of key metrics related to threats and risks.
      • Mentor and train team members on efficient and advanced threat analysis, threat hunting and IR techniques.
      • Perform investigations and forensic analysis to identify security anomalies.
      • Identifies and recommends changes to related software and hardware to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Provides input to their direct leader concerning personnel hiring and performance.
      • Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.
      • Manages projects of a lesser scope.
      • Maintains a thorough understanding of business processes; identifies and recommends changes to related software and hardware to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Assists in communicating and modeling the overarching company strategy and core values of the organization to create a proper work environment and sense of teamwork among employees.
      • Adheres to and assists their direct leader in ensuring compliance standards, policies, and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, including all project management related responsibilities.
      • Prepares user documentation, bulletins and corresponding program updates for distribution to all relevant users.
      • Ensures national programs meet requirements for security and integrity of information.
      • Coordinates with national and international project delivery including documentation, testing, training, deployment and maintenance of new or existing software/hardware solutions.
      • Supports the overall Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service management processes for software and hardware solutions.
      • Complies with regulations and ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies for accessing sensitive information, personal information and confidential information.
      • Maintains, manages and understands user requirements and issues, participates in project or committee meetings as required, reports on project health on international and national projects of lesser scope.
      • Acts as a knowledge source and mentor for team members.
      • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
      • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      • Advance knowledge and experience in the application of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and other security frameworks.
      • Experience with and working knowledge of security tools (SIEM, NDR, EDR, XDR, FTK, Penetration testing, etc.) Required.

      Education and Experience:

      • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge required.
      • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Information Technology required, Cybersecurity preferred.
      • Current Industry certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, etc.) preferred.
      • Prior experience with applicable infrastructure or security technologies preferred.

      Physical Requirements:

      • Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
      • Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
      • Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
      • Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 50 lbs.
      • Occasionally required to handle small computer components to perform tasks.
      • Regularly required to read and identify small status listings, markings and components.

      Travel:

      • International & Domestic travel required.
      • Up to 10%.
