JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese (University Park) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor position in Italian (non-tenure track), to begin in Fall 2023. This is a limited-term appointment, for one year from the date of hire (standard academic calendar), with possibility of annual renewal.
Responsibilities include teaching introductory and intermediate language courses. Teaching load is 6 courses per year or equivalent configuration. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in English and Italian and have completed an MA in Italian or in a related field. Demonstrated excellence in teaching Italian is preferred. Rank will be determined based on education and experience.
