What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and develop, test, and deploy APIs
- Write tested, idiomatic, and documented Java Code
- Cooperate with front-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs
- Communicate with external web services and maintain and modify REST APIs
- Ensure APIs are developed using industry standard best practices and address any issues or bugs that arise

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Mandatory 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in design and development of RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java/J2EE, Spring framework, AWS EKS, RDS Oracle DB, and Apigee/API Gateway
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development using React JS, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web application development
- Experience in API layer security, API testing, and creating REST API documentation
- Proficiency in SQL and Stored Procedures in RDS Oracle DB
- Experience with Unix, Linux Operating Systems, Scrum, Agile processes, Jira, Git/SVN, Jenkins, DevOps, CI/CD

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Exposure to End-to-end Test Frameworks, Functional Testing, and Performance Test Tools
- Knowledge of flyway SQL Versioning tool
- Familiarity with Apache Active MQ and PDF generation libraries
- Understanding of Core JavaScript and other JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React
