Position Summary

Jr. 76ers Camps are looking for talented, energetic, and dedicated coaches to instruct campers, ages 6-14, at our 3-day Holiday Hoops Camp! Holiday Hoops is being held at Competitive Edge Sports in King of Prussia from December 27 to December 29.

What will you do at Holiday Hoops Camp (in addition to having fun with your campers and fellow team members)? A Coach is responsible for:

• Supervising campers [ages 6-14]
• Actively participating in all camp activities
• Providing a safe and fun learning environment and serving as a positive role model
• Assisting Directors in the implementation of Jr. 76ers Basketball Camp curriculum

• Location: Competitive Edge Sports (320 South Henderson Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406)
• Dates: Wednesday-Friday, December 27-29, 2023
• Staff Hours: 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM
  

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of campers focusing on basketball fundamentals, safety, security, and personal/skill development
• Coach, manage, referee or assist with basketball program
• Work effectively with other Coaches and collaborate on daily responsibilities
• Complete assigned paperwork
• Serve as a positive role model to campers
• Follow the Jr. 76ers Basketball Camp Code and maintain the Jr. 76ers Basketball Camp Look (uniform appearance) at all times
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• Prior experience working with children, examples include but are not limited to; teaching, coaching, camp counselor, youth volunteer, etc.
• Previous camp experience preferred
• Previous experience coaching middle school, high school, or college basketball preferred
• Coaching courses/licenses/certifications (preferred)
• Youth coaching experience (preferred)

Education Requirements

• Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to the Director and Division Coordinator.
