Jr. Content Specialist Department: Marketing

Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 / hour
Description We are looking for a copywriter to manage and write SEO content for two separate niche businesses. You will be responsible for conducting keyword and competitive research and writing new copy, optimizing existing content and advising the production of graphics and video. Qualified applicants will have experience in researching and writing position-winning SEO content and enjoys participating in broader creative capacities.
Key Responsibilities • Write world-class copy and deploy it within WordPress
• Outline for new content
• Conversant with current SEO best practices
• Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
• Active collaboration with LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude etc.) to generate ideas and draft copy
• Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success
• Manage third party content production
• Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns from SEO activities
• Regular optimization of existing content (page titles, meta descriptions, H1s, alts, anchor text, etc.)
• Research trending topics within a variety of industries
• Analyze competitor SEO and content strategies to replicate success
• Participate in regular meetings with external vendors
• Familiarity with SEO software (SEMRush, Ahrefs, Spyfu, Google Search Console, etc.)
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in any subject demonstrating research and writing skills (journalism, literature, history, sociology, education, international relations etc.) or zero to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
