After successful completion of the training program, trainees promote to the position of Judicial Assistant and are assigned to one of the Court's 12 districts throughout Los Angeles County, while still being expected to serve in any courtroom throughout the County. After 12 months as a Judicial Assistant, employees may apply to be placed on a transfer list for other locations in the county.
